Question & Answer

Question

How to add Guarantee Resource Pool Usage and Guarantee SLA Resource Usage graph to LSF clusters?

Answer

By default, Guarantee Resource Pool Usage and Guarantee SLA Resource Usage graphs are enabled for a LSF cluster.

If not, you can follow below procedures to enable them:

1. Add the following associated data queries to Host template - Grid Summary, this will enable the two graphs for all new clusters added later.

GRID - Guarantee Resource Pool Usage GRID - Guarantee SLA Resource Usage

1.1) From Console (Tab) -> Templates -> Host Templates, click "Grid Summary" to open it.

1.2) In the "Associated Data Queries" Section, add the "GRID - Guarantee Resource Pool Usage" and "GRID - Guarantee SLA Resource Usage"

Add Guarantee SLA/Pool Usage data queries

2. Enable the two graphs for existing clusters
2.1) From Console (Tab) -> Management -> Devices, select Type "Grid Summary" to list cluster summary devices.

List Grid Summary devices

2.2) Click a cluster summary device to open it. For example, if you cluster name is "LSF10",  click "LSF10_Summary".

2.3) Scroll down to Associated Data Queries section, add the "GRID - Guarantee Resource Pool Usage" and "GRID - Guarantee SLA Resource Usage", same as step 1.2.

The graphs will be created based on Console (Tab) -> Grid Management -> Clusters -> Automation (Tab) -> Add graph frequency.  By default, the value is 1 day and the two types of graphs will be generated the next day.
