Problem
This technote provides some information on why the email notification is not working in IBM Rational ClearQuest 7.0.1 Eclipse RCP Client when using "NET:SMTP" PERL module in notification hooks, and why E-mail Option settings are not retained.
Symptom
When the NET:SMTP PERL module is used in email notification hooks, Email options are not retained and emails may not fire in the Eclipse RCP Client.
