Environment

- Connecting PDU to a local area network (LAN)
Use an Ethernet cable to connect a router or switch to the Ethernet connector on the PDU.

Configuring the power distribution unit using the PDU Configuration Utility
Start a web browser from a workstation or notebook computer that is connected to the same network and enter the IP address of the PDU in the address field.

Steps
- Main page
- The left pane displays the menus and submenus for the PDU.
- The right pane shows the status of the outlets, input voltage, output voltage, frequency, current and power, watt-hour consumption, and cumulative kilowatt hour power consumption.

- How to view information on Power Management
Expand “Power Management” in the left navigation pane and select “Output.”

Expand “Power Management” in the left navigation pane and select “Output” And select “Control” on the top options.
To change the state of the relay, go over “state” and select ON and OFF
Receptacles can be turned on and off via the relays.
To Trigger the EPO (emergency power off) cycle go over “EPO control” and select Trigger.
For the EPO cycle, the PDU internal components remain energized and the firmware operational before, during, and after the commands are invoked. The PDU uses the internal relays to emulate the desired function.

- How to change outlet name
Expand “Power Management” in the left navigation pane and select “Output” And select “Outlet Name” on the top options.

- How to choose the EPO parameters
Expand “Power Management” in the left navigation pane and select “Output” And select “EPO” on the top options.
T1 is the wait delay in seconds before powering off all receptacles. T2 is the wait delay in seconds before restoring power. To change a field, type the input.

- How to choose Recovery status
Expand “Power Management” in the left navigation pane and select “Output” And select “AC Recovery” on the top options.
Recover Last Status means that the individual receptacle relays return to either their initial on or off state before the EPO emulation is initiated. Recover to ALL ON means that when the receptacles are restarted, all relays will be on regardless of their state before the EPO emulation.

- How to view and change Group Control and Group list
Expand “Power Management” in the left navigation pane and select “Group” And select “Control” or “Configuration” on the top options.


- How to view the information of the PDU and Web/SNMP card information
Expand “Systems” in the left navigation pane and select “Hardware/Firmware info.”

- How to change the Date and Time
- Expand “Systems” in the left navigation pane and select “Date time”
- Click Date Time to view and modify the system date and time. You can set the date and time manually, synchronize it with the computer time, or synchronize it with an NTP server.

- How to change the network configuration
- Expand “Network” in the left navigation pane and select “TCP/IP”
- Click “Info” to set the PDU IP address, gateway address, subnet mask, and Domain Name System (DNS) address.
- Click “Configuration” to configure TCP/IP settings.

- How to change username and password
Expand “Network” in the left navigation pane and select “Access.”

Click on “Password” to change superusers’ password.
The Admin default password is “00000000” and the default password for the other IDs (User, User2, User3) is “12345678”.
There is a forced change on all passwords for the default IDs on first login.
- How to setup SNMP Trap and SMTP mail/Alert list
Expand “Network” in the left navigation pane and select “SNMP”and “SMPT.
- Click Trap Receivers to create a list of users or workstations that you want to receive SNMP trap messages.
- Click On Network/SMTP to create a list of up to four users that you want to alert.

- How to view the Data Log
Expand “History” in the left navigation pane and select “Data Log.
The Logs menu provides a detailed description of all events and a record of the PDU status. System administrators can use summaries to analyze problems with network equipment.

- How to view the Event log
Expand “History” in the left navigation pane and select “Event Log”
You can view the complete record of the PDU events on the Event Log window.

- How to reset the PDU
Reset button sequence for password reset
- Push and hold the reset button for one second then wait for the yellow LED to blink once
- Push and hold the reset button again for one second then wait for the yellow LED to blink once
- Push the reset button again for one second then for the yellow LED to blink continuously

- How to update firmware
Expand “System” in the left navigation pane.
Check the firmware version on the right

Select "Web Firmware Upgrade"

Select "Browse" and Open the Binary File from downloads

Select “Upload” and Wait for PDU to reboots automatically
