E-mails generated with strange characters

Troubleshooting

Problem

E-mails generated from a communication template contain strange characters.

Resolving The Problem

The strange characters is replacing punctuation and/or other special characters.
Probably, the email gateway is only accepting some of default character set like iso-8859-1 and we are using some other.

There is a property called mxe.email.charset which can be used to set the character set on the email.
Find out what charset that the mail server supports and have it get set to the property.

Please see the following example given:

[{"Product":{"code":"SSLKT6","label":"IBM Maximo Asset Management"},"Business Unit":{"code":"BU059","label":"IBM Software w\/o TPS"},"Component":"--","Platform":[{"code":"PF025","label":"Platform Independent"}],"Version":"7.5;7.6","Edition":"","Line of Business":{"code":"LOB59","label":"Sustainability Software"}}]
