Downloading and assembling the product

The electronic images (eImages) to download are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document. To download them, follow the procedure.

Note: z/OS customers can download the IBM Dynamic Workload Console software for the z/OS operating system from Shopz in the form of DVD images (.iso files) that contain the initial release product repositories. For more information, see Shopz.

  1. Go to Passport Advantage Online, enroll and gain purchase entitlement to products.
  2. Download the specific eImage or eImages you require. To do this, make a note of the eImage part number or numbers you require and go to Passport Advantage Online where you find a list of all the products that you are entitled to under you customer number. Use the part numbers in Passport Advantage to find each eImage and download it.

  3. Unpack each of the eImages into the same temporary directory on your system.

  4. Follow the detailed instructions in Planning and Installation to launch the launchpad, from which you can install the Dynamic Workload Console component.
