IBM Support

DUP Key not working

Troubleshooting

Problem

Shift+Insert and Shift+Delete is not bringing back the last command as expected when hitting the 3270 DUP key

Symptom

The keyboard mapping documentation indicates that Shift+Insert and Shift+Delete is the 3270 DUP key, also same as “Fieldmark”. The user is expecting that hitting this key (key sequence) will DUP the last command. Instead the user reports a ‘weird’ character on the console.
