Troubleshooting
Problem
Spectrum Protect client on Linux running dsmc command fails with "psThreadCreate() failed: rc=11" errors where Linux RC= 11 means " resource temporary unavailable" or "out of memory".
Symptom
After the command is executed and fails, no message is displayed on the screen. but errors similar to these are found in logs.
- Dsmerror.log shows:
ANS0361I DIAG: thrd_BeginNamedThread(): psThreadCreate() failed: rc=11.
- A client service trace shows:
thrdmgr.cpp ( 865): thrd_BeginNamedThread(): calling psThreadCreate().
thrdmgr.cpp ( 869): thrd_BeginNamedThread(): psThreadCreate(): rc=11.
thrdmgr.cpp ( 903): thrd_BeginNamedThread(): psThreadCreate() failed: rc=11.
