Driver errors are seen in Windows on IBM LTO tape drives. A yellow exclamation mark appears in the Windows device manager.

Additional information
This is working as designed.
Do not try to install or update the tape driver from device manager.
Follow the instructions as indicated in the README file. Use the install_exclusive.exe or the install_nonexclusive.exe.
Refer to the README file for more details.
Also, note that there is an uninst.exe that is part of the IBM LTO package that can help in case of major issues with drivers.
Note: This does not apply to tape drives that do not have an IBM Inquiry String (you can see the Inquiry String at Power On Self Test (POST) or by collecting a Dynamic System Analysis (DSA)):
