General
An early availability update is a bundle of e-Fixes and has the intention to place quick solution for several issues.
An e-Fix bundle contains fixes for APARs and several minor issues. The maintenance provided by e-Fix bundles is cumulative.
To see which APARs are fixed check the table in section change history list. For a full tested package use the next patch or fix pack.

Software patches and early availability updates (e-Fix bundles) are delivered via Fix Central and installed by using the IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Administrative Console.
The Fix Central Online website contains update files for IBM Spectrum Protect Plus for download. The HTTP link in the section "Download package" directs to the Fix Central Online website.
The images available through Fix Central do not contain license enablement files. You must have a base level package installed to use these images.

Note: This cumulative eFix can only be applied on top of IBM Spectrum Protect Plus version 10.1.2. Customers who are on IBM Spectrum Protect Plus version 10.1.1 should not use this cumulative e-fix to upgrade to IBM Spectrum Protect Plus version version 10.1.2.
To perform an upgrade to IBM Spectrum Protect Plus version 10.1.2 from version 10.1.1, it is first required to follow the documented instructions, how the user has to apply the necessary ISO update files for the virtual appliance as described in https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSNQFQ_10.1.2/spp/t_spp_updating_app.html .

Installation Instructions
Follow the instructions to apply an early availability update (e-Fix bundles) for IBM Spectrum Protect Plus:

ISO installation procedure:

Download the .iso file that installs the update.

From a supported web browser, access the Administrative Console at the following address: https://<HOSTNAME>:8090/
where <HOSTNAME> is the IP address of the virtual machine where the application is deployed. -
In the login window, select an Authentication Type.

To log in as an IBM Spectrum Protect Plus user with SYSADMIN privileges, select IBM Spectrum Protect Plus from the Authentication Type drop-down menu, then enter your administrator username and password.

To login as a System user, select System from the Authentication Type drop-down menu, then enter the system password to access the Administrative Console.

Click Manage updates.

Click Browse to browse for the .iso file to upload to the appliance, then click Upload Update Image. The update process begins once the update image has been uploaded to the appliance.

Once the update completes, the virtual machine where the application is deployed should automatically reboot.

After update, clear your browser's cache before logging in to the updated version of IBM Spectrum Protect Plus to ensure you are viewing the latest content changes.

VSNAP installation procedure:
Use procedure below to update a remote vSnap 10.1.2 server:-
Login to the vSnap server using the serveradmin account and copy the downloaded *.run file to "/tmp" location.

$ sudo bash /tmp/vsnap-dist-*.run -- nostart
-
Note: include the space between the -- and nostart command above.

Fix Central Online website. Fix Central is a secure website that requires you to log in using your IBM ID. You can acquire an IBM ID for free at Sign up to IBMid . Fix Central allows you to search, select, order, and download fixes to your system with a choice of delivery options.
You can locate images on the Fix Central Online website by using the product name, version and platform as the search query. For example use the "IBM Spectrum Protect Plus".
Reminder: The images available through Fix Central do not contain license enablement files. You must have a base level package installed to use these packages.
