Abstract

Use these instructions to download the DB2 Connector and Distributed Transaction Stage (DTS) for IBM InfoSphere Information Server, Version 8.1.

*Updated September 9, 2009:
Common Connector Rollup Patch 2 (CCRP2) is released.

InfoSphere Information Server users will automatically be directed to CCRP2 on Fix Central to obtain the DB2 Connector.

The DB2 Connector and Distributed Transaction Stage for InfoSphere Information Server are are delivered as a rollup server patch and a client patch. The rollup patch includes updates to:

  • DB2 connector
  • ODBC connector
  • Teradata connector
  • MQ connector
  • The connector framework, including DTS functionality for all connectors

Use the Update Installer for Information Server Version 8.1 to install the client and server patches.

  1. The DB2 connector supports DB2 9.1 and DB2 9.5. Install the appropriate fix pack for your version of DB2 to correct the following APARs:
    DB2 Version DB2 Fix Pack APAR To enable DB2 Connector Function
    DB2 9.1 Fix pack 6 IZ26598 Communication with DB2 9.5 servers using the DB2 9.1 client
    DB2 9.1 Fix pack 6 JR32078 Expanded support of the XML data type
    DB2 9.5 Fix pack 3 LI73512 Bulk load write mode

    After installing DB2 9.5 fix pack 3, you might need to rebind your DB2 packages as described at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9r5/topic/com.ibm.db2….



Prerequisites

DB2 9.1 fix pack 6 or DB2 9.5 fix pack 3.

Download Package

By default, the download link will locate the most recent version of the Common Connector rollup patch. If its necessary to obtain previous versions, (for example Rollup Patch 2,) follow the download link to Fix Central. Locate the fix for your platform. Click on the link "Show interim fixes that are superseded by this interim fix".
