Problem
When you use IBM® Rational® Asset Manager's (RAM) API called RAMAssetAccess to download an asset from the browser, the result is an HTTP Error Code: 404 error message.
Symptom
You can download assets in RAM through an API call (RAMAssetAccess) that you run from a browser. To do so, use HTTP GET to download assets with web services as documented at Download an asset using HTTP GET.
However, when you use the API call RAMAssetAcces to download an asset with the following notation:
https://www.example.com:9080/ram.web.ws.was/RAMSecure/
RAMAssetAccess.jsp?assetid={alphanumeric_asset_id_of_asset}
&version=1
as in the following example:
https://<IP_Address>:9443/ram.web.ws.was/RAMSecure
/RAMAssetAccess.jsp?assetid=
{TH1S-1S-A-DUMM3Y-A553T-ID-HERE}
&version=11
you get the following error message:
HTTP Error Code: 404
Error Message:
JSPG0036E: Failed to find resource /ram.web.ws.was/
RAMSecure/RAMAssetAccess.jsp
Root Cause:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: JSPG0036E:
Failed to find resource
/ram.web.ws.was/RAMSecure/RAMAssetAccess.jsp
