Does the ISVA reverse proxy support the Expect HTTP header?

Question & Answer

Question

In versions earlier than ISVA 10.0.1, the Expect HTTP header is not supported. The following behavior is observed.
A request is submitted to the ISVA reverse proxy with the "Expect:100 Continue" header, the reverse proxy waits for the intra-connection-timeout. After the timeout has exceeded, the reverse proxy returns a 500 'Internal Server Error' response. The error page contains the following:
DPWWA1238E An HTTP message body sent in a response by a third-party server is too short. This is not a problem with the WebSEAL server.

Cause

Support for the Expect HTTP request header was added in ISVA 10.0.1. The reverse proxy can be configured to handle the request locally or forward the request to the junctioned server.
Earlier versions of ISVA/ISAM do not support the Expect HTTP request header. Those versions will display an "Internal Server Error" after the timeout.

Answer

Upgrade to ISVA 10.0.1 or higher.
