Question
Do Tealeaf Cookies work with WebSphere?
Answer
IBM WebSphere can be configured to count the total number of?Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) requests.? One of the factors it uses in calculating this count is the cookie header.
Documentation can be found here:? http://www.lotus.com/ldd/portalwiki.nsf/dx/Digest_Computation

The generation of TLTHID which is a hit-based cookie.? Changes on each page inflate this count.? In some cases the high count causes a security breach from the WebSphere perspective.

As this documentation points out the digest is configured to ignore certain cookies for the purposes of counting. Alternatively teacookies.conf is configured not to send TLTHID by setting IssueHID and InjectHID values to false.? TLTHID is not needed for Tealeaf sessionization and is not needed by most customers.
