Disk Full error when backing up a large single partition database on Linux to a EXT3 file system.

Troubleshooting


Problem

When attempting to backup and large single partition database the backup fails with disk full errors even when there is enough disk space to hold the backup image.

Symptom

The backup fails with the similar messages in the db2diag.log
