Disabling IPv6 from Starting When STRTCP is Issued

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document discusses how to disable IP Version 6 (IPv6) from starting when the STRTCP command is issued.

Resolving The Problem

To disable IPv6 from starting when the STRTCP command is issued (whether it
is issued in a program, interactively, or using the IPL attributes), issue
the following CL command to change the STRTCP command defaults so IPv6 will
not start with this command:

CHGCMDDFT CMD(STRTCP) NEWDFT('STRIP6(*NO)')
