Problem
The evaluation version of the Rational Unified Process® (RUP) is based on the small configuration template and does not have all the templates and examples as the licensed version.
Resolving The Problem
The evaluation version of the Rational Unified Process® (RUP) is based on the small configuration template and does not contain these documents:
- Business Modeling content.
- System Engineering content.
- Real-time Design content.
- Formal Requirements Management content.
- Document or model examples.
The evaluation version contain the informal templates only for Vision, Use Case Specification and Iteration Plan. All other templates are available in the licensed version.
To install the RUP evaluation version:
1. Download the RUP_Eval.exe self-extracting file.
2. Double-click to expand it (the default expansion location is the directory identified by your TEMP system variable).
This will create a directory called RUP_Eval in which you will find the RUP Evaluation website elements.
3. Navigate to the TEMP\RUP_Eval directory and launch the file index.html.
