Diagnostic error codes for Netfinity 5100.

Resolving The Problem

This document is intended for trained servicers who are familiar with IBM Personal Computer products. Use this document along with advanced diagnostic tests to troubleshoot problems effectively. In the following error codes, if XXX is 000, 195, or 197 do not replace a FRU. The description for these error codes are:

  • 000 The test passed.
  • 195 The Esc key was pressed to abort the test.
  • 197 This is a warning error and may not indicate a hardware failure.

For all error codes, replace/follow the FRU/Action indicated.

  1. ServeRAID Adapter in slot S is not configured properly. Obtain the basic and extended configuration status and refer to the ServeRAID Hardware Maintenance Manual for more information.

  1. Tape Cartridge, if user executed the Read/Write Tape drive test (XXX = 256)
  2. SCSI or power cable connected to tape drive with SCSI ID NN.
  3. Tape drive with SCSI ID NN. (Refer to the Help and Service Information appendix of the tape drive's User Guide.)
  4. System board or SCSI Controller. (Run SCSI Controller Diagnostic to determine if the SCSI bus is functioning properly.)
