CICS Transaction Server DFHME0102 X'0308' Error in DFHMEIN Module During APPLY of Message Table DFHMET1E

Problem

You receive message DFHME0102 An error (code X'0308') has occurred in module DFHMEIN while producing message DFHSM0122. Every message after DFHSM0122 causes message DFHME0102 and subsequent dumps to be taken. Eventually, you have to cancel the region.

Symptom

DFHME0102 error code X'0308'

Cause

Failure during application of maintenance that affected the message table DFHMET1E. In this case, this is the message received during APPLY processing:
LINK-EDIT PROCESSING FOR SYSMOD UQ78514 WAS UNSUCCESSFUL FOR MODULE DFHMEPGE IN LM DFHMET1E IN THE SDFHAUTH LIBRARY. THE RETURN CODE WAS 08.

Resolving The Problem

Ensure that the correct SMP/E libraries are included in your APPLY job. Then relink DFHMET1E by reapplying the PTF.
