Determining Which User Profiles Have Default Passwords

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document describes how to determine which user profiles have default passwords.

Resolving The Problem

How can I determine the user profiles on the system with a default password (for example, the same password as the user profile name)?

Use the Analyze Default Password (ANZDFTPWD) command. It will print a report of users that have default passwords, and the user can optionally take an action against the profiles. For example, the ACTION parameter can be set to *DISABLE, and all user profiles with default passwords will be disabled.
