Troubleshooting
Problem
When running the deployment task FileNet Content Engine (CE or CPE) Configuration Manager (CMUI) the task fails with WASX7025E: Error found in String ""; cannot create ObjectName.
Symptom
Deployment task fails and give the following error in the progress window:
WASX7017E: Exception received while running file "D:\IBM\FileNet\ContentEngine\tools\configure\tmp/deployapplication.tcl"; exception information: com.ibm.ws.scripting.ScriptingException:
WASX7025E: Error found in String ""; cannot create ObjectName.
Cause
The error is stating there is no server at that SOAP port with that name. An an invalid node or server name (JVM) for the SOAP port entered in the Application Server Properties was provided .
Diagnosing The Problem
If using an existing CMUI profile, validate the drop downs are populating with current info by clicking each drop down in the Deploy Application task and selecting the options to see if they remain. If they are no longer valid, when clicking away to another drop down, invalid options will disappear from the previously selected drop down list.
Resolving The Problem
Insure a valid node and server name are provided using entries from the drop down list as entries are case sensitive and must exist in WebSphere:
- In CMUI, open the Deploy Application task. If it's marked Disabled, right click and select Enable Selected Task.
- Click the drop down for Application server node and select a valid node name from the list
- Click the drop down for Application server name and select a valid node name from the list.
Note: If there are multiple options, be sure to click one, then click away to another drop down list. This will refresh the options insuring only valid options appear in the drop down list. - Click Save, then Run Task, checking the progress window for errors on completion.
