Defining "Multiple nominal"(MNOM) and "Single nominal"(SNOM) scale in OVERALS

Troubleshooting

Problem

I am running the OVERALS procedure (Nonlinear Canonical Correlation Analysis) in the SPSS Categories module. Could you tell me the difference between "Multiple nominal"(MNOM) and "Single nominal"(SNOM) , when setting scale ? When should I set "Multiple nominal" ? When should I set "single norminal" ?
