Define the Properties of a Boolean Attribute

About this task

You can definethe properties of a boolean attribute to create the default valueto True or False from the Attribute Management screen.

You can manage the properties of a boolean attributeonly if you have selected the Attribute with valid values radiobutton and the Boolean Attribute option from the ValueType* drop-down list in the Manage Attribute Details panelwhen creating an attribute.

To define the booleanattribute properties:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to theAttribute Management screen. To navigate to the Attribute Managementscreen perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as anItem Administrator.
    2. From the Products home page click ManageAttributes in the Catalog panel.

      The Attribute Management screen is displayed.

  2. From the Item Attributes tree selectthe corresponding attribute.
  3. The Boolean Attribute Details panelis displayed. To create the default value to False select the Defaultto False radio button otherwise select the Default to True radiobutton.
    Note: If a value ismade as the default value of an attribute and this attribute is assignedto a category then the value is displayed by default in the correspondingfield of the Attribute Management screen pertaining to the category.However unless you click Save this valueis not assigned by default to the items in that category.
  4. In the Attribute Management screen click Save.

    The properties for a boolean attribute aredefined.
