Dedicated Fleet User Options
Use the Dedicated Fleet tab ofthe Execution Options page to define how the interface is presented.
The DedicatedFleet tab contains the following sections:
- Dedicated Fleet Management
- Optional Mass Entry Settings
- Column Default Values
Dedicated Fleet Management
Define the followingsettings in the Dedicated Fleet Management section:
- Use New Dedicated Fleet User Interface
Set this option to Yes. Sterling TMS displays the DedicatedFleets - New tab in Execution.
The procedures documentedin this guide are based on using the new Dedicated Fleet user interface.
- Number of Truck History Rows to Display
Specify how many rows you want Sterling TMS to displayon the History tab of the Notes/History pagefor dedicated fleets.
The default value is 10 rows.
- Projected Miles Multiplier
- Do not setthis option. This field is only used on the Fleet Assignment tabof Execution.
Optional Mass Entry Settings
Use the OptionalMass Entry Settings section to define which fields appear on theMass Entry - Truck Legs page. To open this page select a truck inthe Tractors table and click Add Leg.
Definethe following settings in the Optional Mass Entry Settings section:
- Revenue
Specify whether the Revenue field appearson the Mass Entry - Truck Legs page.
Use the Revenue fieldto show the revenue amount generated by a backhaul leg that the carrierarranges.
- Special Route Total Distance
Specifywhether the Special Route Total Distance fieldappears on the Mass Entry - Truck Legs page.
Use the SpecialRoute Total Distance field to enter an out-of-route distance.For example the truck might have to take a circuitous route to deliveran over-sized shipment.
- Route Notes
- Specify whether the Route Notes field appearson the Mass Entry - Truck Legs page.
- Cycle Reference Number
Specify whether the Cycle Reference Number fieldappears on the Mass Entry - Truck Legs page.
Use the CycleReference Number field if your organization bases yourbilling cycles on purchase order numbers. You can enter the purchaseorder number that is associated with each leg of the billing cycle.
Column Default Values
Use the ColumnDefault Values section to define the Default Leg Type setting.Use this option to define whether Sterling TMS creates shipmentlegs or non-shipment legs by default.
When you click AddLeg on the Dedicated Fleets tabthe Mass Entry - Truck Legs page displays the selected leg type asthe Segment Type.
Select one of the followingoptions for Default Leg Type:
- Shipment
- Backhaul (carrier credit)
- Backhaul (not chargeable)
- Backhaul (shipper arranged - chargeable)
- Repositioning (chargeable)
- Repositioning (not chargeable)
