Troubleshooting
Problem
The IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software (RDp) client (or other IBM Debugger client) is installed on a workstation that is behind a firewall, on a separate subnet, or otherwise unreachable from the remote server. This technote explains how to debug through an ssh tunnel.
Symptom
When you try to start a debug session, the session gets added to the Debug view, but it appears to be "hung" and you cannot debug your program:
Or, when you try to start a debug session from a terminal connection, after a period of time, you get this message:
$ /usr/idebug/engine/bin/irmtdbgc -qhost=10.0.2.15:8001 smp.out
