Db2_install fails to install or upgrade Pacemaker

Troubleshooting


Problem

Starting from V11.5.5.0, db2_install installs Pacemaker unless parameter -f NOPCMK is provided.
If Db2 installs with pacemaker and an error in the db2_installFixPack.log.xxxxxxx and standard output show:
“The execution completed with warnings.
For more information, see the DB2 installation log at “/tmp/installFixPack.log.xxxxxx”.”
The /tmp/installFixPack.log.xxxxxx shows:
“Installing: PCMK WARNING: DBI20105E An error occurred installing the following file set: “PCMK”.

Because these files were not successfully installed, functionality that depends on these files might not work as expected.”If Pacemaker is used as a cluster manager, this warning must not be ignored.

Symptom

db2_install is executed to upgrade Db2 and Pacemaker to the next fix pack db2level and related Pacemaker level. Db2 installs but Pacemaker does not get upgraded.
