DB2 version and IBM Spectrum Protect server

Problem

This document provides additional information on how to determine which DB2 version is running with IBM Spectrum Protect server version.

Resolving The Problem

Logon as server instance user ID. From the DB2 command prompt, run the "db2level" command. For example :

DB21085I Instance "tsminst1" uses "64" bits and DB2 code release "SQL09076"
with level identifier "08070107".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v9.7.0.6", "s120516", "IP23321", and Fix Pack "6".
Product is installed at "/opt/tivoli/tsm/db2"


In this case, DB2 is at 9.7.0.6 level.

The following link shows which version of DB2 is installed with specific levels of the IBM Spectrum Protect server level.
