Problem
DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-204, SQLSTATE=42704 error message when indexing LCSE content
Symptom
When using FileNet Content Engine Content Search Engine to index content the following error can be observed from either a WAS systemout.log or a p8_server_trace.log with the Database traceflag enabled;
DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-204, SQLSTATE=42704, SQLERRMC=<Database name here>.INDEXPAIRS, DRIVER=3.62.56"
or
"DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -204, SQLSTATE: 42704, SQLERRMC: <Database name here>.INDEXPAIRS' in 4 milliseconds: SQL: "SELECT 1 FROM IndexPairs"
DEBUG com.filenet.api.exception.EngineRuntimeException: <CE Server Name>: DB_OBJECT_DOES_NOT_EXIST: The referenced database object cannot be located. SQL: "SELECT 1 FROM IndexPairs.
Cause
This occurs if anything related to IBM CSS (Content Search Services) is or was enabled on the object store (properties).
Resolving The Problem
Review the object store properties (IBM CSS tab) and ensure nothing related to CSS is not enabled.
