Abstract

The fix pack images for DB2 9.7 FP3 and DB2 9.5 FP6 have been replaced with images containing fixes for two Hiper APARs.

Audience:  All users who requesting the following fix packs:
  • DB2 Version 9.7 fix pack 3
  • DB2 Version 9.5 fix pack 6
What changed?
The fix packs (9.7 FP3 and 9.5 FP6) were removed from Fix Central due to two Hiper APARs that could effect all users. These APARs may cause serious issue with the Query Rewrite component if installed. Fixes for the two Hiper APARs were created and delivered in the following replacement fix packs:
DB2 9.7 FP3_special and DB2 9.5 FP6a.

ABSTRACT
Executing a query with left outer join and an IS NULL predicate may cause a reverse column output or produce a SQL0901N error
Possible incorrect result on recursive views which joins to a table on a unique column

When did this happen?The fix packs were removed on September 17, 2010.
The replacements were uploaded on September 30, 2010.
Action required:Please use the updated fix packs to obtain the fixes for the Hiper APARs.
