Troubleshooting
Problem
When we install DB2 11.5.8.0 on SUSE 15, the program db2prereqcheck return an error about system package net-tools-deprecated even in the situation where the DB2 feature Purescale is not used.
Symptom
The db2prereqcheck returns the message:
Checking prerequisites for DB2 installation. Version "11.5.8.0". Operating system "Linux"

Required minimum operating system kernel level: "3.10.0".
Actual operating system kernel level: "5.14.21".
Requirement matched.
Validating "Linux distribution " ...
Required minimum operating system distribution: "SUSE"; Version: "15"; Service pack: "1".
Actual operating system distribution Version: "15"; Service pack: "5".
Requirement matched.
Validating "net-tools-deprecated" ...
DBT3507E The db2prereqcheck utility failed to find the following package or file: "net-tools-deprecated".
ERROR : Requirement not matched.
