Question & Answer
Question
Why does the Clock icon for a Date and Time inspection question not show a timer picker pop-up during inspection?
Answer
This is expected behaviour and differs based on the device being used:
- On a desktop: Maximo uses the Carbon Design System for UI components. The Clock icon is part of the Carbon date-time field, but it does not trigger a time picker pop-up. Users must manually enter the time in the correct format (e.g.,
HH:MM AM/PM). - On a handheld device: The inspection form relies on the device's operating system to render date and time fields. In most cases, tapping the time field will open the native time picker provided by the OS.
