Troubleshooting
Problem
Datastore usage on disk
Resolving The Problem
Issue
vCenter triggers a datastore usage on disk alarm.
Troubleshooting
Remediation steps include:
- Delete unneeded snapshots on VM on the datastore in question.
- Remove unneeded VMs, if possible.
- If the datastore is ISCSI/NFS, expand capacity of the datastore, or add additional datastores and move VMs to this new datastore. Refer to the IBM Cloud article Adding NFS storage to vCenter Server instances
- If the datastore is vSAN, add additional vSphere ESXi hosts, refer to the IBM Cloud article Adding ESXi server to vCenter Server instances.
