Troubleshooting
Problem
In DataStage Designer, the properties of the XML stage include a button labeled "Assembly Editor" where most of the configuration for the stage is performed. If settings on the client do not allow ActiveX controls to be used, the assembly editor cannot function.
Symptom
Clicking on the Assembly Editor button results in the following error:
An ActiveX control on this page is not safe.
Your current security settings prohibit running unsafe controls on this page.
As a result, this page might not display as intended.
