Troubleshooting
Problem
This problem only pertains to Information Server 8.1.0.0 (no fix pack) on Windows 2003 using Java 1.5. For other platforms using Information Server 8.x check your release notes for current values of DATASTAGE_JRE and DATASTAGE_JVM.
In the DataStage job log file you should see the following error message:
unable to create Java Virtual Machine; classpath=
[{"Product":{"code":"SSZJPZ","label":"IBM InfoSphere Information Server"},"Business Unit":{"code":"BU048","label":"IBM Software"},"Component":"Not Applicable","Platform":[{"code":"PF033","label":"Windows"}],"Version":"9.1;8.7;8.5;8.1","Edition":"","Line of Business":{"code":"LOB76","label":"Data Platform"}}]
