In DataStage, orchadmin dump command on a dataset produces truncated output which when saved with a XML file extension, has an incorrect XML format

Problem

In DataStage, using the orchadmin dump command (ie. $ orchadmin dump /tmp/test.ds > /tmp/test.out) on a dataset file (ie. .ds) does not produce the correct XML format in the .out file. When the .out file is then saved as a .xml file, the XML format is incorrect and when viewed in a web browser, the following error occurs: The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. A string literal was expected, but no opening quote character was found.
