Problem
The DataStage Job that updates a database table fails with deadlock error, similar to Fatal Error: [IBM(DataDirect OEM)][ODBC Sybase Wire Protocol driver][SQL Server]Your server command encountered a deadlock situation. Please re-run your command.
Symptom
The DataStage job may fail sporadically due to deadlock when run in parallel mode, but is always successful when run in sequential mode.
