Problem

DataStage jdbc connection to mainframe Db2 fails with a socket communication error.

Symptom

The following message is seen in the Director log file
Message: main_program: Fatal Error: The connector received an error from the driver. The reported error is: 
[SQLSTATE 08001] com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.DisconnectNonTransientConnectionException: [jcc][t4][2030][11211][3.71.22] A communication error occurred during operations on the connection's underlying socket, socket input stream, 
or socket output stream.  Error location: Reply.fill() - insufficient data (-1).  Message: Insufficient data. ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001.The following
