Troubleshooting


Problem

After uninstalling Open Data Access on DB2, while using IBM Rational Portfolio Manager, 'Database error. Please contact database administrator' error occurs.

Environment

This problem occurs on Open Data Access installed with Rational Portfolio Manager 7.1.1.2iFix005 or later, on IBM DB2 9.x.

Resolving The Problem

      This issue was resolved in Rational Portfolio Manager 7.1.1.2iFix007.

      WORKAROUND:

      To resolve the problem, use either of these options:

      • Install Open Data Access again, or
      • Recreate the required database tables using the specified command:
        1. For a single instance Rational Portfolio Manager installation, use the command:
          <code>
          ant deployrpm
          </code>
        2. For a multiple instance Rational Portfolio Manager installation, use the command:
          <code>
          ant deployrpm -Drpmdb.name=rpm_database_name
          </code>
          (Substitute the name of the Rational Portfolio Manager database in the command)
