Troubleshooting
Problem
Data Transfer reports CWBDB0014 if an attempt is made to use LOB type fields. Data transfer does not support the use of LOBs.
Note: Client Access Solutions or ACS data transfer supports the use of LOB fields.
Resolving The Problem
An iSeries for Windows Data Transfer download request receives the following message: CWBDB0014 - The request handle generated a function parameter that is not valid on the server.
After clicking OK, another message is issued: CWBTF0005 - The data in this field is incorrect or does not match the PC data type. Some versions of iSeries Access or System i Access will only report message CWBTF0005.
The iSeries file contained a CLOB (character large object) field. Data Transfer does not support LOBs (large objects). This includes both BLOBs (binary large objects) and CLOBS. There are no plans to add this support to Data Transfer.
