Resolving The Problem
When running a Data Transfer to the iSeries, the following message is received: CPF3137 - No authority to clear, initialize, or copy member &2.
Depending on the options chosen in the Details section of the data transfer, the CLRPFM command can be attempted under the covers. The appropriate authority is required to run the CLRPFM file operation for the Data Transfer to be successful.
According to the CL Reference, the required object authorities for the CLRPFM command are object operational, object management or alter, and delete authority for the physical file and execute authority to the library.
The solution is to ensure the user has these authorities.
