Order Activity Dashboard

Use the Order Activitydashboards to analyze your order processes. These dashboards displayorders by status lead time performance and priority. This informationcan help you better plan shipments and improve your operations.

Thefollowing Order Activity dashboards are available:

Order Status

Provides a high-level view of orders divided into planned and unplanned categories.Use this dashboard to find orders that are due to depart but havenot been planned into shipments. This dashboard can help you determineorder priority.

Order Lead Time

Displays the number and percentage of orders in various leadtime categories along with their weight and volume. You can findout how much lead time is given to transportation managers.

Usethis dashboard to analyze which orders have too little lead time forshipment planning. You can alert customer service that there is notenough time to pick up or deliver the shipment.

Order Performance

Displays performance statistics for the shipping of your orders.You can find out how many orders were shipped or delivered on timeor late.

Use this dashboard to analyze how well you are fulfillingorders. Are you shipping on time? Where are the problem areas andhow can you improve?

Order Priorities

Lists the number and percentage of orders that are assignedto the priorities you use in Sterling TMS. This dashboardhelps you identify orders that need to be planned first and analyzehow many of your orders are a high priority.

Shipment Activity Dashboard

Use the ShipmentActivity dashboards to diagnose shipping issues prioritize shipmentsand improve scheduling.

The following Shipment Activity dashboardsare available:

Shipment Status

Displays a high-level view of shipments divided by planningstatus (such as tendered covered and unplanned). Each status showsthe number of shipments the percentage of the total and the weightvolume and quantity.

Use this dashboard to troubleshoot planning.You can determine whether your shipments are on time how many arelate and establish priority for shipment planning.

Shipment Performance

Lists the number and percentage of shipments that have shippedor have been delivered according to the departure and arrival windows.This dashboard also helps you troubleshoot planning by showing whetheryou complete shipment activity in a timely manner and are adheringto appointments.

Shipments Lacking Appointment

Displays the number and percentage of shipments that have beenpicked up or delivered with or without appointments. Use this dashboardto determine which shipments need to be scheduled and to monitor carrierappointment scheduling compliance.

Routing Performance Dashboard

Use the RoutingPerformance dashboards to review route guides and tendering strategiesand manage shipment size:

Route Guide Compliance

Displays how well the dispatch planner followed the SterlingTMS route guide and the primary tendering strategy. This dashboardcan help you review the success of your route guide strategy and monitorthe performance of your planners.

Under/Over Weight Cube

Lists the weight and volume thresholds that your organizationdefined and shows the number of shipments that are over or under thosethresholds. Use this dashboard to monitor average shipment size andidentify shipments that require load plan adjustments.

The dashboardlists the following statistics:

• The weight and volume thresholds your organization defined
• The average weight and volume of all the shipments being measuredin the dashboard
• The number of shipments that are above the thresholds and theaverage weight and volume of these shipments
• The number of shipments that are below the thresholds and theaverage weight and volume of these shipments

When determining whether a shipment is over a threshold Sterling TMS considersthe weight or volume. For example a shipment is listed in the ShipmentsOver Weight/Cube entry if it is within the weight thresholdbut is over the volume threshold.

The Under/Over Weight Cubedashboard only displays the statistics in a table. This dashboarddoes not display a pie chart.

Purchase Order Activity Dashboard

The PurchaseOrder Release Status dashboard displays the number andpercentage of purchase orders with a status of Released Unreleasedand Canceled. Use this dashboard to monitor shipping activity againstpurchase orders or to identify routing requests that are ready forinbound planning.
