How to customize, restrict or remove menu bar options from users.
Answer
You can use the "Customize menu bar" feature located in the "Tools menu" of the Access Client Solutions Session Manager.
- Open Access Client Solutions 5250 Session Manager.
- Open the "Tools menu" and select "Customize menu bar".
- Select the .hod file you would like to edit by selecting File > Open in the "Menu bar customization utility". (.hod file needs to exist in order to use this tool)
- From here you can choose to modify the menu option from 4 different levels. Exclude the level 1 option completely or certain options from within using the different menu levels. Select the option you would like to remove and hit "Delete".
- There is also an option to restrict the "Pop-up toolbar menu".
- Save your changes to the .hod file when finished.
