Problem
Attempts to create an IBM Rational ClearCase view using Rational ClearCase Rational Client (CCRC) result in the error : "CRVAP0087E CCRC command 'mkview' failed".
Symptom
The full error message is as follows: Please reinstall ClearCase to include the view_server.
CRVAP0087E CCRC command 'mkview' failed: The view must reside on this host, but the view_server is not installed.
