Abstract
Since the initial launch of Policy-Based Replication (PBR) and Policy-Based High Availability (PBHA), multiple critical issues have been identified that can result in loss of access to data from a variety of causes.
While fixes for issues have been delivered in a variety of code releases (PTFs) over time, recent code hardening activities have culminated in release 8.7.0.6 which is now considered the minimum level for systems using PBR and PBHA.

IBM strongly encourages all FlashSystem and SAN Volume Controller Policy-Based Replication and Policy-Based High Availability users to upgrade to 8.7.0.6 or higher as soon as possible.
For systems already running 8.7.1, 8.7.2 or 8.7.3, upgrade to 8.7.3.3 or higher.
