Creating the system registry file

Question & Answer

Question

How do I create the system registry file /nz/data/config/system.cfg?

Answer

The /nz/data/config/system.cfg file is used to define registry values that override the default. At initial installation, this file is not defined. However if you need to change a registry value, you must first define the file.

To change a registry value, do the following:

1. Create the /nz/data/config/system.cfg  file by running the following command:

nzsystem showregistry > /nz/data/config/system.cfg

2. After /nz/data/config/system.cfg is created, you can make the appropriate changes to the registry setting. Note that you should only modify /nz/data/config/system.cfg to contain the registry keys that are changing from the default. In this way, the file is more manageable and easier to understand.
