Creating Performance Tests with/from Web UI Functional Tests

How To

Summary

Functional tests cannot be directly converted into performance tests. Once a test script of a specific type (Java script, Web UI script, HTTP script) is created, there is no utility to transform that test script to any other type of test script. With some planning, though, there is functionality within the products that allows for the creation of recording files that can be used to generate functional tests or performance tests.
