Can a Hyperlink be created within the Maximo/SCCD Start Center header to access an external URL?

Answer

Yes. In order to add a Hyperlink within the Maximo/SCCD Start Center header, the following steps will need to be performed:

Step 1:
- Export LIBRARY.xml from Application Designer

Step 2:
- Locate header id "selfServicePageHeader" within the LIBRARY.xml
- Create a new header (cloning the original) or utilize the existing header
- Add new hyperlink element to the header which points to the target URL, similar to below:

<hyperlink classname="powerwhite" id="customURL" image="information.gif" imagecss="pwimg" label="IBM Support" mxevent="loadlink" targetid="self_pageTitlebar" link="addURLhere"/>

- Save changes to LIBRARY.xml

Note: addURLhere will be replaced with the full target URL

Step 3:
- Import the LIBRARY.xml back into Maximo through Application Designer.
- Restart the JVM
