Create a Tabbed User Interface

About this task

You can design your end-user interface sothat rather than being displayed in a single frame the option classesappear within a series of tabs. You do this by first selecting theTabbed Configurator JSP template at the model level which sets thedisplay property UI:JSP Filename (see Working with Display Properties). You then designthe end-user interface using Tabs tab.

To create a tabbed user interface:

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the model for which you wantto create the tabbed interface.

    See Access the Visual Modeler for information onhow to navigate the model group hierarchy.

  2. Click the Display tab.

    The Display tabdisplays.

  3. Select Tabbed Configurator from the JSP Templatedrop-down list.

    This automatically sets the UI: JSP FILENAMEproperty to Configurator_Tabbed.jsp.

  4. Click the Tabs tab.

    This displays the Tabs tab.

  5. Enter a name for the tab in the Tab Namefield.
  6. Click Add.

    The content frame displays an area forediting the new tab.

  7. Select the option classes or option classgroups for the tab.
    1. Select an option class or option classgroup from the drop-down list.
    2. Click Add.
  8. Repeat the last step for each option classor option class group you want in the tab
    Note: If you are creating atabbed UI then not all option classes must be accounted for in thetabs. Any option classes not included in a tab will not be displayedto the end-user.
  9. Click Move Up or MoveDown to arrange the order of the entities. To remove an entityclick the entity then click Remove.
  10. Click Save All Changes.
