Create a Price List
About this task
To create a price list:
Procedure
- Log in to Sterling Business Center as PricingAdministrator.
- From the Pricing homepage click New Price List in the Pricing panel.
- The Create Price List screen is displayed.In the New Price List ID* box enter a unique identifier forthe price list. The Price List ID which is used to identify the pricelist must be unique for the pricing organization.
- In the Effective Start Date* fieldselect the start date by clicking the Calendar iconand select the start time from the drop-down list. The start dateand start time indicate the date and time from which the price listbecomes effective.
- In the Effective End Date* fieldselect the end date by clicking the Calendar iconand select the end time from the drop-down list. The end date andend time indicate the date and time until which the price list iseffective.
- From the Currency* drop-down listselect the currency to be used for all the prices in the price list.
- In the Description* box enter abrief description of the price list.
- In the Price List Items panelselect the appropriate option.
The followingtable describes the options in the Price List Items panel:
- Option

- Add specific items to the price list later
- Select this option to add items to the price listafter creating the price list.
- This is a dependent price list
- Select this option to indicate that the price listis an existing price list's dependent price list. When a pricelist inherits price information from another price list the pricelist from which the price information is inherited is called a masterprice list and the price list that inherits the price informationis called a dependent price list of that master price list.
Note: When you select this option the
Currency drop-downlist is disabled. This is because the currency for the price listwill be inherited from the master price list.
Clickthe Search icon adjacent the Master PriceList ID box to search for the master price list from which theitems and prices will be inherited.
- Add all items in the catalog to this price list
- Select this option to add all the items presentin the catalog of the pricing organization to the price list.
- Click Save.
Note: * indicates that the fieldis mandatory.
The Price List Summary screenpertaining to the newly created price list is displayed.
