Troubleshooting
Problem
Creating database might fail with SQL0440N trying to access an internal db2 function.
Symptom
Following errors may be reported while creating sample database.
- $/home/db2inst1>db2sampl
Creating database "SAMPLE"...
Attempt to create the database "SAMPLE" failed.
SQL0440N No authorized routine named "MON_FORMAT_XML_WAIT_TIMES_BY_ROW" of type "FUNCTION" having compatible arguments was found. LINE NUMBER=1. SQLSTATE=42884
$ /home/db2inst1> db2 connect to sample
SQL1013N The database alias name or database name "SAMPLE" could
not be found. SQLSTATE=42705
