Create composite index on CustomStringVal to improve the performance of Custom Attributes related operations from IGC

Troubleshooting

Problem

A composite index with columns value, _xmeta_repos_object_id and objectRid on CustomStringVal class is suggested to improve the performance of Custom Attributes related operations from IGC.

Resolving The Problem

Run below command from <ISHOME>/ASBServer/bin
On Linux/AIX
./xmetaAdmin.sh addIndex -model ASCLCustomAttribute -class CustomStringVal value ASC _xmeta_repos_object_id ASC objectRid ASC -dbfile ../conf/database.properties

On Windows
xmetaAdmin.bat addIndex -model ASCLCustomAttribute -class CustomStringVal value ASC _xmeta_repos_object_id ASC objectRid ASC -dbfile ..\conf\database.properties

Note: If the command returns saying the index already exists, please ignore the message.

Above addIndex command fails with "DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-614, SQLSTATE=54008" error for the Information Server installations with xmeta database on DB2.
Run below db2 command to move the ASCLCUSTOMATTRIBUTE_CUSTOMSTRINGVAL table to XMETA tablespace and run the above addIndex command.

db2 => call SYSPROC.ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE('XMETA','ASCLCUSTOMATTRIBUTE_CUSTOMSTRINGVAL','XMETA','XMETA','XMETA',NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,'MOVE')

Refer http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21982376 technote for more details on above command.
